The Tree Guy Services is offering WOOD CHIP MULCH & RAW LOGS to local residents and businesses located in Jackson County and surrounding areas!
Wood chips and raw logs are a by-product of tree removal, trimming and pruning, and it is important for us to dispose of it in an effective manner.
Call now and we'll gladly go over all the options available to you.
Wood chips are often the most popular way of disposing of this waste as it is quick and cost-efficient. The wood chips can be used for mulch or compost in gardens and flower beds to help prevent weeds and keep soil moist, or to spruce up neglected areas with little effort making them a sustainable solution for getting rid of tree waste.
Additionally, wood chipping makes transport and removal from job sites much easier since they can neatly fit into our dump trucks, saving time and reducing the number of truckloads needed.
Due to the high water content, fresh cut wood (green firewood) is not suitable to burn immediately. It may take several months to dry the wood sufficiently for use in a fireplace, which is great if it's the end of winter or the warmer months where it is not needed straight away.
We can deliver the raw cut logs for you to store in a corner of your yard to dry out and be used at a later date. We are always trying to get rid of tree waste and are more than happy to give away green logs to cut down on our own expenses when removing trees.

Q. What are Woodchips
Woodchips are small- to medium-sized pieces of wood formed by cutting or chipping larger pieces of wood such as trees, branches, logging residues, stumps, roots, and wood waste.
The process of making woodchips is called wood chipping and is done using a wood chipper. The types of woodchips formed following chipping is dependent on the type of wood chipper used and the material from which they are made.
Q. What is Green Wood (Green Firewood)
Green wood is wood that has been recently cut and therefore has not had an opportunity to season (dry) by evaporation of the internal moisture. Green wood contains more moisture than seasoned wood, which has been dried through passage of time or by forced drying in kilns.
The higher moisture content relative to air-dried or seasoned wood makes it less suitable for burning.
